Waiting for you lists the people your AI DM assistant handed over to you, with what they asked and how long they have waited. A daily email tells you how many are waiting.

Open Waiting for you →

What it shows

When the AI DM assistant steps back, that person appears here. The assistant tells people it hands over that someone will follow up, so most of them are expecting you.

Open Lead Inbox in the menu, then the Waiting for you tab.

Each card shows:

  • the person’s username, and which of your Instagram accounts they messaged
  • why the assistant stopped
  • their last message
  • how long ago they messaged
  • any email or phone number they left
  • how many AI replies they got before this

Click Open contact to see the person in your Lead Inbox.

Why the assistant stopped

  • Asked to speak to a person

    What happened
    They asked for a human.
  • Assistant could not answer

    What happened
The question was not covered by your facts.
  • Long conversation — handed over

    What happened
The assistant reached its limit of 10 replies.
  • Looks like another automated assistant

    What happened
The other side seemed to be a bot, not a person.

Two views

Needs a reply shows people you can still answer in DMs. The person who has waited longest is at the top.

Window closed shows people you can no longer message in Instagram. Instagram only allows a reply for 24 hours after the person’s own last message. These people are kept, not deleted. If they left an email or phone number, you can still contact them that way.

Reply to someone

  1. Open the person’s chat in Instagram and reply as yourself.
  2. Start with the people at the top of Needs a reply, because their time runs out first.

The assistant does not start talking to that person again after it hands them over.

The daily email

Once a day, the account owner gets an email when people are waiting. It says how many people are waiting and why. It also says how long the longest wait has been, and links to this list.

The email holds counts only. It never includes a name, a message or a contact detail. People flagged as another automated assistant are not counted in the email.
