On Pro and Scale, open Lead Inbox, then AI Agent. Give the assistant your business name, what you sell, your booking link, a tone, your rules and common questions, then switch it on and save.
Open AI Agent →Why the setup matters
The assistant can only be as good as what you tell it. It is told to answer only from your own details, so an empty setup gives it nothing to say. With no offer and no link, it can only keep asking questions.
Ten minutes of setup is the difference between a helpful chat and a confused one.
Set it up
- Open Lead Inbox in the menu, then the AI Agent tab.
- Click Edit to open the AI Sales Agent box.
- Fill in the fields below. Start with What you offer and Booking / checkout link (https).
- Tick Turn the AI sales agent on for this workspace.
- Click Save.
The AI DM assistant is on Pro and Scale only.
Start faster: fill from your Instagram page
Under Auto-fill from your Instagram page, click Fill from @yourname. Replavia reads three things:
- your display name, which becomes the Business name
- your bio and up to three recent captions, which become a first draft of What you offer
It only fills fields that are blank. Anything you already wrote is kept. The import is also safety-checked, so text flagged as not brand-safe is left out. Read the draft, improve it, then click Save.
Each field, with examples
Business name. The name the assistant uses for you. It also appears in the line that says it is automated. Keep it plain. Punctuation and web addresses are removed from that line. If you leave it blank, your account name is used.
What you offer. What you sell, the prices and how buying or booking works. This is the field the assistant leans on most.
- Good: “1:1 fitness coaching. 12-week plan, $299. Weekly video call and a custom meal plan. Book a free 15-minute intro call first.”
- Weak: “We help people get fit.”
Booking / checkout link (https). Where it sends people who are ready. It must start with https://. The assistant never types a link itself. When sharing your link would help, Replavia adds your saved link to its reply.
Tone. How it should sound. Short words work best.
- Good: “warm, short, one emoji at most”
- Weak: “professional but fun but also serious”
Do's and don'ts. Rules in plain sentences. Be specific about what to do and when.
- Good: “Once you know the date and group size, share the booking link.” “Never offer a discount.”
- Weak: “Be helpful.”
FAQ the agent can answer. Up to eight question-and-answer pairs. Add the questions you are asked most, with your exact answer.
- Good: “Do you ship to Canada?” with “Yes, 5 to 8 working days, $12 flat.”
How to make it better over time
- Read its early chats in Instagram. If it keeps asking the same thing, add that answer to your FAQ.
- Put longer facts, like a full price list, in the knowledge library. The assistant uses those facts too.
- To test it, message your business from an Instagram account that is not connected to Replavia.
Good to know
- If your text is flagged as not brand-safe, it is not saved, and the screen tells you what to change.
- A yellow warning appears while What you offer or the booking link is empty. Saving still works.
- Running several brands? See one AI voice per Instagram account.
- Unsure whether you need the assistant at all? Read scripted automation or AI assistant.
- Every reply uses your monthly AI allowance. See AI allowance and usage.
