Buyer’s guide
Best Instagram DM automation tools for creators, compared
Five tools that reply to a comment with a DM, side by side: what each gives you free, what the first paid plan costs, and what each one does that the others do not.
Last reviewed
The short answer
All five tools send a DM when someone comments a keyword, and all five have a free plan. They differ in what surrounds that. Replavia pairs the automation with a public media kit that brands can order from — InstantDM, LinkDM and LinkPlease do not list one — and has no DM or contact meter. ManyChat covers the most channels and adds AI and integrations on its higher plans. InstantDM and LinkDM add Facebook. LinkPlease adds Facebook, Messenger and automatic comment hiding on its higher plans.

The five tools, one by one
1. Replavia
Best for: Creators who want DM automation and a media kit in one tool
Comment-to-DM, story-reply, story-mention, live-comment and DM triggers on every plan, lead capture you can export, and a public media kit where a brand builds an order from your own prices and sends you a brief.
- Free plan
- Free: 1,500 DMs a month, 2 automations, 1 Instagram account, 1 public media kit. No card.
- Paid
- Pro is $9.99 a month, or $99.90 a year. No monthly DM meter and no contact meter.
- Worth knowing
- Instagram only today — Facebook, Messenger and WhatsApp are on the roadmap. No visual flow builder. The Free plan runs two automations.
2. ManyChat
Best for: Teams that need many channels, AI and deep integrations
The widest channel list of the five — Instagram, Facebook Messenger, TikTok and Telegram on every plan, with WhatsApp, SMS and email from Pro — plus AI features and integrations such as Zapier, Make, HubSpot and an API on Pro and above.
- Free plan
- Free: 25 active contacts a month and up to 4 active automations. Collecting emails or phone numbers is not included.
- Paid
- Essential is $14 a month billed annually, with 250 active contacts included, then pay per contact. Pro is $29 a month billed annually, with 2,500.
- Worth knowing
- Plans are sized by active contacts, with pay-per-contact beyond the included number, so the cost follows your audience.
3. InstantDM
Best for: Accounts that also want Facebook and high hourly sending
Comment-to-DM on every plan, with story, live and DM-keyword triggers, Facebook automation and email or phone capture on paid plans, and a flow editor with an AI agent on its Trendsetter tier.
- Free plan
- Free: 500 DM automations a month, up to 5 post automations, 3 trigger words, 1 Instagram account.
- Paid
- Legend Pro is $9.99 a month billed yearly: unlimited DMs at up to 800 an hour. Trendsetter is $24.99 a month billed yearly.
- Worth knowing
- The lowest prices are for yearly billing. Legend Pro to Trendsetter Pro cover one Instagram account; separate Multi plans cover 3 or 10.
4. LinkDM
Best for: Simple comment-to-DM on Instagram and Facebook
A focused auto-DM tool for comments on reels, posts and ads, with story-reply and story-mention replies, inbox automation and email capture. Works with Instagram and Facebook.
- Free plan
- Free: up to 1,000 DMs a month.
- Paid
- Pro is $19 a month: 3 Instagram accounts and up to 25,000 DMs per account each month.
- Worth knowing
- Plans are metered by DMs per month, so a post that takes off counts against the allowance.
5. LinkPlease
Best for: Creators who want Facebook, Messenger and automatic comment hiding
Comment-to-DM with story, live and DM triggers on every plan, Facebook and Messenger automation, and AI comment moderation that hides spam automatically on its higher plans.
- Free plan
- Free: 1,000 DMs a month, 1,000 contacts, unlimited automations.
- Paid
- Pro is listed at $14.99, Super at $34.99 and Max at $39.99 in US dollars, each per Instagram account — check its page for monthly versus yearly billing. AI moderation starts on Super.
- Worth knowing
- Each Instagram account needs its own plan, and its pricing page states there are no refunds for the current period.

DM automation and a media kit, in one tool
Most creators end up with two tools for two jobs: one that answers comments and DMs, and a separate one — often a designed PDF — that tells brands what a reel or a story costs.
Replavia does both from one account. The automation side captures the lead. The media kit is a public page at your own link holding your prices, audience and past work, and on Pro a brand picks the deliverables it wants, watches the total build from your prices, and sends you a brief with its budget.
On the pages we reviewed, InstantDM, LinkDM and LinkPlease do not list a media kit or rate card. LinkPlease lists a detector that alerts you to brand-deal messages, which is a different thing. For ManyChat we read the pricing page only and did not check for one.
How to choose
You want one link sent when someone comments
Any of the five will do it. Compare the free plans first: 1,500 DMs a month on Replavia, 1,000 on LinkDM and LinkPlease, 500 on InstantDM, and 25 active contacts a month on ManyChat.
You also pitch brands
Replavia is the one with a media kit built in. With the others you would keep a separate media-kit tool or a PDF.
You need Facebook or Messenger now
Not Replavia — it is Instagram only today. ManyChat, LinkDM and LinkPlease cover Facebook, and InstantDM does on its paid plans.
You want branching conversations or AI
ManyChat lists actions, conditions and AI steps on its paid plans, and InstantDM lists a flow editor with an AI agent on its Trendsetter plan. Replavia has no visual flow builder.
Frequently asked
What is the best Instagram DM automation tool for creators?+
It depends on the job. For comment-to-DM plus a media kit brands can order from, with no DM or contact meter, Replavia. For the most channels, AI and integrations, ManyChat. For Facebook alongside Instagram, InstantDM, LinkDM or LinkPlease. For automatic hiding of spam comments, LinkPlease on its Super and Max plans.
Which Instagram DM automation tools have a free plan?+
All five reviewed here. Replavia includes 1,500 DMs a month and 2 automations. LinkPlease includes 1,000 DMs a month with unlimited automations. LinkDM includes up to 1,000 DMs a month. InstantDM includes 500 DM automations a month and up to 5 post automations. ManyChat includes 25 active contacts a month and up to 4 active automations. Reviewed 11 October 2026.
Is there one tool for Instagram DM automation and a media kit?+
Yes — Replavia. Every plan, including Free, publishes a media kit at your own link alongside the automation, and on Pro and Scale a brand can build an order from your prices and send you a brief. InstantDM, LinkDM and LinkPlease do not list a media kit on the pages we reviewed on 11 October 2026. For ManyChat we read the pricing page only and did not check.
What is the cheapest paid Instagram DM automation plan?+
Of the prices published in US dollars on 11 October 2026: Replavia Pro is $9.99 a month, or $99.90 a year; InstantDM Legend Pro is $9.99 a month billed yearly; ManyChat Essential is $14 a month billed annually, with 250 active contacts included; LinkPlease Pro is listed at $14.99 per Instagram account; LinkDM Pro is $19 a month.
Which of these tools also work with Facebook?+
ManyChat, LinkDM and LinkPlease do, and InstantDM lists Facebook automation from its Legend Pro plan. Replavia is Instagram only today, with Facebook, Messenger and WhatsApp on its roadmap.
Are Instagram DM automation tools safe for my account?+
Replavia, InstantDM, LinkDM and LinkPlease each state on their own sites that they use Meta’s official API, which is the first thing to check for any tool. Beyond that, look at how a tool paces sending. Replavia sends at most 60 DMs an hour and 200 a day per account by default, with a warm-up over a new account’s first week. No tool can guarantee how Meta enforces its platform.
