# I can’t log in, or I forgot my password. Can I use Google?

> On the sign-in page, use the Forgot password link to get a reset link that works once and lasts one hour. You can also click Continue with Google if your Google account uses the same email.

## Sign in

Go to the Replavia sign-in page. You have two ways in:

- **Continue with Google**, if you signed up with Google or your Google account uses the same email.
- Your **Email** and **Password**, then **Sign in**.

If you see **Invalid email or password.**, check the address for typos first. The message never says which of the two was wrong, to protect your account.

## Forgot your password

1. On the sign-in page, click **Forgot password?** next to the password box.
2. Type the email you sign in with, then click **Email me a reset link**.
3. Open the email and click the link. It works once and expires in one hour.
4. Type a **New password** of at least 8 characters, then click **Save new password**.
5. You will see **Password updated.** Click **Sign in** and use the new password.

The page always says **Check your email.**, even if no account uses that address. This stops strangers from finding out who has an account.

After a reset, Replavia emails you to say your password changed. Any other signed-in sessions are signed out. Your email address also counts as verified.

## If the reset email does not arrive

- Check your spam or promotions folder.
- Make sure you typed the email you signed up with.
- **You signed up with Google?** Then you have no Replavia password to reset. You get an email called "Signing in to Replavia" instead. Use **Continue with Google**.
- One address can get up to 5 reset emails in 24 hours. After that, wait and try again later.

If the link says **That reset link has expired or has already been used**, ask for a new one.

## Using Google with an existing account

If you made your account with an email and password, you can still use **Continue with Google**. When your Google account has the same email, Replavia signs you in to your existing account. It does not make a second account.

One safety rule applies here. If your email was never verified, Google sign-in removes the old password and signs out every other session. This stops a stranger who signed up with your email from keeping a way in. Use Google from then on, or set a new password with **Forgot password?**.

If you have no account yet, **Continue with Google** creates one. You confirm you are at least 18 and agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy.

## Too many attempts

After several wrong tries in a short time, you see **Too many attempts. Please wait a few minutes and try again.** Wait a few minutes, then try once more with care.

- Replavia never asks for your password by email or by DM.
