# How do I turn comments into customers?

> A comment becomes a customer in steps: a public reply, a DM with your link, a saved lead, then a reminder or follow-up, and the sale on your own site. Replavia handles each step up to the sale and shows where people drop off.

Most people who comment are curious, not ready to buy. Turning them into customers means making the next step easy, then reminding them once. Here is each step, and the Replavia tool that does it.

## The steps at a glance

| Step | Replavia tool | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Someone comments your keyword | Comment automation | Every plan |
| 2. A public reply under the comment | Public comment replies | Every plan |
| 3. A DM with your link | Response flow (DM) | Every plan |
| 4. They share an email or phone | Lead capture | Every plan |
| 5. A nudge if they go quiet | Link reminder, follow-up emails | Pro and Scale |
| 6. Questions answered in the DM | AI DM assistant | Pro and Scale |
| 7. The sale | Your own website or booking page | Not in Replavia |

## Steps 1 to 3: the comment, the reply and the DM

Ask people to comment one clear word, like GUIDE. Your automation then posts a short public reply, so others see that you answer. It also sends the DM.

Put your link in **Send a link button**. Replavia sends it as a tracked link, so real clicks are counted. See [How to create an automation](https://stage.mydmflow.com/help/create-an-automation).

**Tip:** say what they get, in the post and in the DM. "Comment GUIDE for my free meal plan" works better than "comment for info".

## Step 4: save the lead

Under **Collect their contact info**, choose **Ask for email** or **Ask for phone**. For a comment automation, turn on **Use a tappable button** first. Each reply is saved in your **Lead Inbox**. See [How to collect emails and phone numbers](https://stage.mydmflow.com/help/capture-emails-and-phone-numbers).

## Step 5: remind them once

On Pro and Scale you have two gentle nudges:

- **Remind them if they don’t click:** one DM to a person who has not opened your link. See [How to see who clicks the link](https://stage.mydmflow.com/help/track-link-clicks).
- **Follow-up emails:** about 24 and 72 hours later, to leads who shared an email and are not marked converted. See [Automatic follow-up emails](https://stage.mydmflow.com/help/follow-up-emails).

## Step 6: answer questions

Some people reply with a question, like "does it ship to Canada?". On Pro and Scale, the AI DM assistant answers from facts you give it. It hands people over to you when needed. See [How the AI DM assistant works](https://stage.mydmflow.com/help/ai-dm-assistant).

On every plan, [answer by topic](https://stage.mydmflow.com/help/answer-by-topic) can send your own saved answer to common questions.

## Step 7: the sale happens on your site

Replavia has no checkout and takes no payments. The person buys on your shop, course page or booking page. Replavia's job is to get them there.

## Where you see the numbers

Open **Analytics** and find **Where people drop off**. It shows each step:

- **Matched a trigger**
- **DM delivered**
- **Link clicked** (tracked links only)
- **Lead captured**
- **Marked converted**

**Marked converted** counts leads you set to **Converted** in the Lead Inbox. Setting a status needs Pro or Scale. See [How to see how your automations are doing](https://stage.mydmflow.com/help/analytics).

## Good to know

- Instagram allows one automated DM per comment. That is why the link reminder is a single DM, sent only within Instagram's rules. See [Instagram's 24-hour window](https://stage.mydmflow.com/help/instagram-24-hour-window).
- Results depend on your offer and your audience. Replavia cannot promise a number of sales.
- The biggest drop is often between the DM and the click. Check that your link works on a phone.
