# How to delete a lead

> On Pro and Scale, open Lead Inbox, click the bin icon on the lead’s row and confirm, and the lead is gone for good. On Scale you can also tick several leads and click “Delete selected”.

- Topic: Leads
- Plans: Free: not included · Pro: included · Scale: included. Deleting several leads at once needs Scale.

## Delete one lead

1. Open **Lead Inbox** in the menu.
2. Find the lead. Use the search and filters if your list is long.
3. Click the bin icon at the end of the lead’s row. Its tooltip says **Delete permanently**.
4. Confirm. Replavia asks “Permanently delete @username? This cannot be undone.”

Deleting one lead at a time is on **Pro** and **Scale**. The Free plan cannot delete leads.

## Delete several leads at once (Scale)

1. In **Lead Inbox**, tick the box next to each lead you want to remove.
2. Click **Delete selected**.
3. Confirm.

Bulk actions are on the **Scale** plan only.

## What is deleted

The lead is removed from Replavia for good. This includes:

- the lead’s details, such as username, email, phone, status, tags and note;
- the saved messages for that lead;
- any follow-up emails that were planned for that lead.

There is no undo and no recycle bin. If you might need the lead later, click **Export CSV** first.

## What is not deleted

- **Copies in other tools.** Deleting a lead does not remove it from Google Sheets, HubSpot, Zapier, Make or your own server. Delete it there yourself if you want it gone.
- **Files you exported.** A CSV file you downloaded earlier still holds the lead.
- **Instagram itself.** The person’s comments and your DM conversation stay on Instagram.

## If the same person comes back

If the person comments your keyword or messages you again, Replavia captures them as a new lead. Your automations treat them like anyone else.

This matters for opt-outs. Deleting a lead also deletes the record that they replied STOP. After that, your automations could message them again. To stop messaging someone, leave their lead in place. See [How STOP, unsubscribe and unsend work](https://stage.mydmflow.com/help/stop-and-unsubscribe).

## Good to know

- If someone asks you to delete their data, delete the lead here. Then delete their copies in any tool you connected.
- To delete your whole Replavia account and all its data, see [How to delete your account](https://stage.mydmflow.com/help/delete-your-account).
