# Do I have to approve every AI reply?

> Only if you want to. By default every AI comment reply waits for your approval, but you can let your saved replies post on their own, or let everything post on its own.

## Why this matters

Some creators want to read every word that goes out under their name. Others have no time for that once they get dozens of comments a day. Replavia gives you three levels of control, not just on or off.

## The three choices

You find them on the **Settings** tab of **AI Replies**, under **Publishing**.

| Choice on screen | Replies from your reply library | Replies the AI wrote |
|---|---|---|
| **Review everything before it posts (recommended)** | Wait for you. | Wait for you. |
| **Auto-publish my saved replies — AI answers still wait for me** | Post on their own. | Wait for you. |
| **Auto-publish everything, including AI answers** | Post on their own. | Post on their own. |

The first choice is the default. If the setting can ever not be read, Replavia treats it as the first choice.

The middle choice is a safe step up. Library replies are sentences you already wrote or approved, so posting them needs no new judgement. See [the reply library](https://stage.mydmflow.com/help/reply-library).

## How to switch

1. Open **AI Replies** in the menu, then the **Settings** tab.
2. Under **Publishing**, pick a choice.
3. Click **Save settings**.

The choice applies to all your Instagram accounts at once. It affects new comments only. Replies already waiting in the queue stay there until you act.

## Approving replies

Open the **Review queue** tab. Each row shows the comment, the suggested reply and a label: **Question** or **Nice**. A **Library** label means the reply came from your own saved words.

- To approve as written, tick rows and click **Approve selected**.
- To change the words, open a row, edit **Your reply** and click **Approve & post**.
- To drop a reply, click **Reject** or **Reject selected**.

Approved replies show as **Scheduled** on the **Recent activity** tab. They post within about 30 minutes. Until then you can click **Cancel**.

A reply still waiting after 72 hours expires. A reply to a comment older than 72 hours never posts. A very late reply usually reads worse than none.

## What still applies when replies post on their own

Auto-publish skips the waiting list, not the checks. Every reply, approved or automatic, goes through these:

- **Brand-safety check.** The final text is checked again just before it posts.
- **Freshness check.** Nothing posts to a comment more than 72 hours old.
- **Drafting limits.** At most 10 replies an hour and 50 a day are drafted for each Instagram account.
- **Your switches.** Untick **Draft AI replies for comments on my posts**, or untick an account under **Per account**. Scheduled replies for it are then cancelled, not posted.
- **Plan and account checks.** If your plan no longer includes AI replies, or the Instagram account is disconnected, nothing posts.

Replavia also has its own switches to pause AI drafting or posting for everyone at once.

## Tips

- Start on review for the first week or two. Edit drafts until they sound like you.
- Approve replies to kind comments. Each one fills your reply library, which makes the middle choice useful.
- Move to full auto-publish only when you rarely change the AI’s answers.

## Good to know

- If posting fails, Replavia does not try again. A missing reply is harmless, a double reply is not.
- Questions are answered only from your facts. See [how the AI stays on your facts](https://stage.mydmflow.com/help/ai-answers-only-from-your-facts).
- AI replies are on Pro and Scale.
